    Minor correction:
    Bo Hansson’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ was released in Sweden as ‘Sagan Om Ringen’ in 1970, making it one of the very first instrumental progressive albums. It was the Charisma release in the UK that came out in 1972.

    • Hansson’ LOTR was considered very obscure at the time and Charisma was a marginalized label.
      Even tho’ I was into imports that one blew by me until the US release.
