Although the “innocence lost” vibe of the early ’60s with the JFK, MLK, RFK assassinations, Civil Rights, the Draft, Viet Nam and Nixon/Watergate mixed-in with the Beatles, the British Invasion, Summer of Love and Woodstock created very emotional vibes – to counter and to comprehend it all we were provided with sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll – which, through awareness, made everything that much more fun, enjoyable and meaningful for us free-spirited Hippies.
Here’s the Tribal Truth; there for a time, ’64 through ’67 life was magical. Then from ’67 through ’70 life was beautiful, really, and here’s why, for the first time in my life (other than for other species) I had an immediate Brotherly Love for absolute strangers and it was that way because that’s how they saw 00individual. We were a Tribe that had no rules or codes just eye-contact and a knowing nod was enough, as it was very difficult to lie back then, once the ego was released we acquired the ability to easily detect lies. We could feel the good vibes and conversely, the bad vibes too. We had become, through our experiences with mind-expanding drugs from Marijuana to LSD, different, more in-tune, ch-ch-ch-changed – and for the good. You get humbled, you get grounded, you get C-i-v-l-i-z-e-d.
Remember: Once your consciousness is raised, it cannot be lowered.
The fact that it’s generally felt that Manson and Altamont were the icons for the end of the ‘60s obscures the fact that it actually began earlier, on the day a Brother opened his home to another Brother to crash for the night, as had been done many times before – only to find out the next morning that he’d been ripped off. This began the domino effect of distrust.
The death of Brotherly Love, trust and of our “Tribal” life was sad. Brothers and Sisters that were once united, were now distrustful, cautious, guarded and jaded – and the introduction of heavier Heroin use didn’t really help, it just made the end of an incredible era come sooner.
But the early ’70s still provided a Hell of a lotta fun but with a different style and approach; the knowledge that the vibe was near gone created a new level of reality based on that acquired knowledge – in other words, we wised up.
00individual was well aware of the loss of vibe and that the end was upon us, the end of the way things were and had been for the past decade. But after providing two dedicated Pads of Renown during the late ’60s and early ’70s – the third and last “meeting” house was fast approaching 1975 and bore the imminent feeling that the end is near.
So, here we are, it’s 1975, 00individual’s been Record Rack Jobbin’ and Record Store Managin’ and Rockin’ Historic and Classic Rock Concerts and making sure to have tried just about every form of mind-expanding drug; never a pill-popper, other than early on, Barbs were boring but Bennies were cool, but 00individual digresses, the point is that by 1975 one of our Tribe coined the phrase, “Been there, done that.” – and there you have it. We had reached a height that demands the question, “What’s next?”
But 00individual held out, knowing the best was yet to come. And so it was, the Rock Gods as well as 00individual’s own personal Rock ‘n’ Roll Fairy Godmother rewarded his devotion to Rock ‘n’ Roll and more specifically as a cosmic card-carrying Pink Floyd fan. 00individual didn’t wait for the starting gun.
The Rock Deities knew the importance of this time in Rock ‘n’ Roll History and in the Culture that was waning – so for this 00individual he was given a once in a lifetime parting gift.
A true send-off to commemorate the most unique and novel time in history, a time when anything was possible and here is the proof.
00individual invites you to witness the cosmic intervention that put Front Row Seats for Three Nights directly into his hands. This was the Peak of Classic Rock History.
“The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say”
