  1. THANK YOU for reviewing this classic album!! I, too, can recite all of the words to The Lost Poets’ “Wake Up Niggers”, a song that profoundly affected me when I first heard it back in the early 1980’s. Being a HUGE Stones fan, I asked for (& received) this LP (which I still have!) for Christmas one year. The whole album really takes you to another place. “Performance” also remains one of my all-time favorite movies, completely misunderstood by most critics.
